Program Overview:

Rheumatology Advanced Practice Providers (RhAPP) is an initiative dedicated to developing educational programs, providing professional advancement services, and assembling resources for – and guided by – advanced practice providers (APPs).

​

The Program will Feature:

  • Plenary sessions on key topics in diagnosis and management in rheumatic disease, including emerging therapies, state-of-the-art updates and case studies.

  • Parallel plenary sessions designed for both experienced APPs and those new to the field of rheumatology. 

  • Workshop sessions covering a wide range of rheumatic diseases, including content focused on pediatric patients.

Target Audience:

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of advanced practice providers involved in the care of patients with rheumatic disease.

Educational Objectives:

After completing this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Describe the pathophysiology underlying common rheumatic diseases

  • Identify common signs and symptoms associated with major rheumatologic disorders

  • Demonstrate the ability to accurately diagnosis rheumatic diseases based on history, physical examination, laboratory evaluation and imaging

  • Describe the pharmacological properties, indications, and contraindications of various therapeutic agents utilized to treat rheumatic disease

  • Design patient-specific management plans for various rheumatologic disorders

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower and the Rheumatology Advanced Practice Providers (RhAPP). Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physician Assistant Statement:

Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 11.50 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower designates this live activity for a maximum of 11.50 contact hours (1.15 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy credit. Credit will be provided to the NABP CPE Monitor within 60 days after the activity is completed.

This activity is certified as a knowledge-based CPE.

Nurse/Nurse Practitioner Statement:

Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower designates this live activity for a maximum of 11.50 ANCC contact hours, which will include pharmacology hours.
